Where aggressive chemicals are involved, it is advisable to use steel coated with PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), known also as TEFLON.
It is completely inert from a chemical point of view: there is no other plastic material that has the same physical-chemical characteristics. It has a very high resistance against almost all chemical compounds: the only exception is represented by fused sodium and fluorine, at extremely high temperature.
Thanks to its high level of chemical inertia, PFTE does not contaminate other materials with which it comes into contact, not affecting their characteristics, making it especially suitable for use in the Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industry.
